Axel Perez is an Administrative Clerk with EmpowerLA. His role involves providing administrative assistance, training, and resources to ensure Neighborhood Councils have everything they need to serve their communities effectively. Being part of this work is something he takes great pride in because he knows that every bit of support he provides helps strengthen neighborhoods across the city. Axel is proud to be part of a team that helps empower communities and create positive change throughout Los Angeles.

Before stepping into public service, Axel worked in various customer service roles where he interacted with people from all walks of life. That experience made his transition into this position feel natural—he’s always enjoyed working with people, solving problems, and making processes easier to navigate. Being social and approachable has always been one of his, and he loves bringing that energy into his work every day.

Outside of work, Axel has a deep appreciation for art and enjoys going to art shows whenever he can. He values creativity and self-expression, whether in art or in the ways communities come together to make a difference. He also loves spending time with friends—whether it’s checking out shows and expos, going out to dinners, taking trips, or just finding something fun to get into. He’s always up for an adventure and believes that the best experiences come from great company and new places.
