Dr. Vincent Autiero is a Neighborhood Empowerment Advocate (NEA) at EmpowerLA. He currently supports the Greater Valley Glen, North Hills East, Northridge East, Northridge West, Sylmar, Venice, West Hills and Woodland Hills-Warner Center Neighborhood Councils. In this role his responsibilities are to support Neighborhood Council Boards with capacity building, training, and organizing skills that empower board members and engage the community. Vincent also provides outreach and engagement to institutions of higher education throughout Los Angles and provides an overview of the Neighborhood Council system, particularly to those majoring in the fields of Political Science, Public Policy & Public Administration.
Prior to joining the department, Vincent also served for over five years as a board member for the Mid City West Neighborhood Council as well as a member of the Budget Advocates. His prior work experience includes areas in higher education and consulting.
Vincent obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Master of Arts in Education and his Doctorate in Public Policy.
