A resident of Victor Heights, Xiayi Shirley Zhang has lived in the Downtown Los Angeles area since 2005. She was born in China and immigrated to America at the age of 6. Always challenging herself, by her junior year she had already exhausted the curriculum at her high school. This, combined with her perfect SAT scores, gave her the opportunity to forgo her senior year and instead enroll at the University of Southern California. At USC, Xiayi was actively involved in the Asian-American and Chinese-American student community by serving as Vice President of her sorority, and as Event Director for the Chinese Student Association. In 2011, she was crowned as Miss Los Angeles Chinatown Queen. During her term as Miss Chinatown, Xiayi was fortunate to have been exposed to great projects and inspiring figures in the community. She hopes to do her own part in continuing to serve the community. |

For the 4 years we’ve produced and promoted the Marathon, we’ve underwritten the widely successful Students Run LA program that has trained over 8,000 LA Unified High School students to run and finish the LA Marathon. Over that same time period we worked closely with more than 80 official charities that have raised over $7 million dollars for mostly Los Angeles based charities. Our Mission Statement is ‘we inspire individuals and connect communities’.
