Daniel Johnson serves as a Neighborhood Empowerment Advocate (NEA) at EmpowerLA. He is responsible for supporting Neighborhood Council Boards with capacity building, training, and organizing skills that empower board members and engage the community. Daniel currently supports the CANNDU, Central San Pedro, Coastal San Pedro, Empowerment Congress West, Harbor Gateway South, Northwest San Pedro, VOICES and Zapata-King Neighborhood Councils.
Daniel is an alumnus of AmeriCorps, YouthBuild, Public Allies, Front Line Leaders Academy, Answering the Call, and the New Leaders Council’s Los Angeles Chapter. In 2016, he was elected to the Zapata-King Neighborhood Council where he served as President.
Daniel earned his Certificate in Community Planning and Economic Development from Los Angeles Trade Technical College in 2015.
