Erica Gatica Doughty (she/her) is a Neighborhood Empowerment Advocate with EmpowerLA. In her role, she supports Neighborhood Council Boards with capacity building, training, and organizing skills that empower board members and engage the community. Currently, she supports the Bel Air-Beverly Crest, Del Rey, Empowerment Congress North, Empowerment Congress Southwest, Greater Toluca Lake, North Westwood, Westchester-Playa and Westwood Neighborhood Councils. Additionally, Erica leads EmpowerLA’s annual Youth Conference and provides vital support to the annual Congress of Neighborhoods. She also leads the EmpowerLA Awareness & Engagement Work Group.
Erica earned her associates’ degree in political science at Glendale Community College, bachelors’ degree in political science with an option of prelegal studies and master’s degree in public administration from California State University, Los Angeles. In her free time, Erica loves visiting new coffee shops, hiking, and thrift store shopping.
