Rev. Mark Gory I have been a resident of the Crenshaw / Baldwin Hills area since 1959, this area is very dear to me and my family. Being a representative is a very serious responsibility to me I always confer with the stakeholders in the area even going to the market, the mall walking down the street and making phone calls it is very important I know the stakeholders views on the issues in the community having the ability to take tere views back to the board meetings inabling me to say this is what the community wants and this is now want the community wants i thrive in making sure my votes on the board is the voice of the people of the community!
David Winston I am currently on the Board of the Empowerment Congress West Area NDC. I am concerned for my neighborhood and would like to be a member of the Board to insure my community receives the services it deserves.

Denise Stansell My name is Denise Stansell and I’ve been employed with the City of L.A. for 26 years. I have a vested interest in EC West due to the fact I work in all 3 areas. I support the enrichment, progress and development of all 3 areas. I don’t have a personal agenda and I am for the good of all as a whole. Come support me and vote.

Yvonne Ellett I am currently serving as the Recording Secretary of the ECWANDC. I served on the HOA of the Baldwin Hills Estates Homeowners Association as both Treasurer and Secretary. I am learning so much about the way the Neighborhood Council works and I’d like to continue in the position. It’s not only personally rewarding, but it’s a great way to pass important City & Neighborhood information along.

Mary Jones-Darks I have lived in Neighborhood One for more than Twenty years and have served on the(NDC)for Two terms and am proud to continue to serve for the betterment of the community at large. I serve on several other committies in the community and the (NDC) is a welcome avenue to reach out to other residents who might be interested in volunteering.
Wilson Washensky I was born in the community, at View park community hospital.I lived in the community for forty years. I received my my education from Hillcrest elementary, Audubon Junior High, and Dorsey High School. I have mentored, tutored, and counseled youth and adults of all ages, in my community. Also in surrounding communities. I have worked with Council District 10 in Gang Intervention & Prevention, Community Intervention, Safe Passages in Schools, and Community Clean ups through out the 10th District.Also working with different gang summits to keep violence down. I am very concern about positive changes in my community & the quality of life.
Edward Collard I feel that all community members have a voice. I want mine to be heard, along with others who I see and talk to on a daily basis. I welcome the opportunity to represent and serve my community.

Carl Morgan Ever since I can remember, I have had a fascination with community empowerment. Why do some communities thrive while others wither? As your representative I share years of experience as a former staff person at various government agencies, (Caltrans, Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning Department Planning, Southern California Association of Governments, City of Los Angeles Planning Department, and Los Angeles World Airports). I want to help this community thrive and become one of the best neighborhoods in the Los Angeles.
Wendell Conn I’ve lived in this community for the past 25 years and have been politically active in school and community issues most of my life. I want to help this community thrive and get more residents knowledgeable about and participating in this neighborhood council.

Jackie Ryan i am owner of zambezi bazaar, a twenty year old business in leimert park. i have concerns with all aspects for quality of life for residents, customers and visitors to leimert park. i listen to the concerns of the constituents of our leimert park neighborhood. i have gained experience in service as a board member and will continue to bring the best practices as a board member that will continue to benefit leimert park. i have served on the planning and land use committee, the homeless task committee and the shuttle endeavour committee. it is an honor to serve.
Lark Galloway-Gilliam It has been my pleasure to serve on the Neighborhood Council for two terms, first as the chair and more recently as the Area 3 Rep. I ran for the board with the goal of helping to ensure greater equity in the allocation of city services and economic resources through greater public participation and accountability between city hall, city agencies, the business sector and our community. While we have made great strides – we have a great deal yet to overcome and achieve. I believe we can achieve real change and improve the quality of life in our community if we are willing to come together and work together. I am committed to working with others to ensure our community meets the needs of its residents and those who provide quality services and products.
