I became active in the Mid City West Community Council prior to certification in 2002. I have served on the Planning and Land Use Committee for the past 5 years. I would appreciate the chance to continue serving my community. |
Taylor Nichols – Having served on the MCWCC Transportation Committee for the past year and having owned a home in zone 2 for the past 15 years I have watched our neighborhood grow and change. As my two daughters grow I am reminded that Change is the only Constant. I would like the opportunity to help Mid City continue to prosper by making sure our neighborhoods and streets are safe for all users, old and young alike. Thank you. Taylor Nichols |
| Don Whitehead – I have served on the Neighborhood Council for three years as a Homeowners Representative and been a member of the Communications, Public Policy and Elections Committees. My varied professional career included advertising and marketing, journalism and freelance writing, politics and government. I met my wife of 35 years when we both worked in City Hall in the Chief Legislative Analystsâ?? Office. I grew up in the area and graduated from LA public schools, as did our two sons. I volunteered in their schools, from Hancock Park Elementary to Hamilton High, and in sports programs at Pan Pacific and John Burroughs. Much of my time now is spent at LACMA where I am a docent and tour chair for one of the school tours. Robert Graham – I currently serve as a board member on the Mid-City West Community Council, as a renter’s representative. My continuing mission is to deliver fiscal responsibility, ethical governance, and community-oriented results to our stakeholders. My priorities for the upcoming term are optimizing the budget and improving our schools. |
Tim Deegan – Too many alcohol licenses in one block is what brought me to the MCWCC as a stakeholder. They heard my public comment and helped to resolve it to the benefit of the community. I have lived and worked in the Miracle Mile for almost 20 years, renting on Cochran Avenue and working at LACMA. My MCWCC service has included membership on the Transportation, Parking and Streetscape committee (including one year as chair), chair of the Ad Hoc Land Use Nominating Committee, and positions on the executive committee as Second Vice Chair and currently as board Chair. Traffic and development and safety are the crucial issues I will be focusing on if I am re-elected to the board with your support. Thank you |

As Vice Chair of the council, I am committed to continually engaging our stakeholders and bringing diverse viewpoints to the table.
